Verydarkman Dragged Over Alleged Fake ₦1M Transfer Claim

In a surprising twist, controversial social media critic Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as Verydarkman (VDM), finds himself under scrutiny after a Nigerian lady accused him of fabricating a ₦1 million bank transfer. This development is particularly notable, as VDM is typically the one exposing others online.

The controversy began when VDM shared a video claiming he had assisted a former secondary school classmate by transferring ₦1 million, supporting his claim with a WhatsApp conversation. He mentioned reconnecting with this classmate at a salon. However, discrepancies arose when the transaction receipt indicated the ₦1 million was sent a day before their chat commenced on February 3, 2025, casting doubt on the authenticity of VDM’s claim.

This incident has ignited discussions online, with many expressing surprise at the role reversal—VDM, known for calling out others, now faces allegations himself. As of now, he has not addressed these accusations.

Netizens React:

Eze Baller remarked, “E don leak again 🤣🤣.”

Mr. Common Sense wrote, “I think he may have missed the particular slip and highlighted a different one in his video. He just mixed it up.”

Pesco commented, “Verydarkman na content creator same with GehGeh.”

Khalifa stated, “The time you dey take check people transfer, use am do something useful for yourself.”

Chef Dera noted, “Verydarkman is not in Nigeria, so it’s obviously a case of time difference. Mumu people 🙄.”

This isn’t the first time VDM has been embroiled in controversy. Previously, he admitted to fabricating a story about a ₦180 million theft from his NGO account to highlight the dangers of spreading unverified information.

Additionally, he faced backlash after dancer Lil Smart accused him of ulterior motives following a ₦1 million transfer intended to support a legal case against Naira Marley.
