Erling Haaland, last season’s golden boot winner, simply picked up from where he started, scoring a brace in the game, with the first goal coming less than five minutes into the game.

It wasn’t all rosy for City either, as Kevin de Bruyne got injured and was subbed off barely 23 minutes into the game.

Meanwhile, Burnley got reduced to 10 men in injury time, as a VAR review for a tackle on Kyle Walker saw Anass Zaroury get sent off.
