OAP N6 Condemns Toke Makinwa for her Kelly Clarkson opinion

American singer and songwriter, Kelly Clarkson was ordered to pay her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock nearly $200,000 per month in spousal and child support in the fallout of their divorce, at least for now.

Brandon had requested $436k per month but a Los Angeles County judge handed down the order that Clarkson give Blackstock $150,000 per month in spousal support, as well as $45,601 per month in child support. The order also requires the singer to pay $1.25 million towards her estranged husband’s attorney fees and costs for their ongoing divorce.

Nigerian media personality, Toke Makinwa seems to find the entire arrangement absurd. She is of the opinion that a woman’s life is hard and because women don’t win all the time, she’d always take sides with a woman. She said Clarkson paying $436k every month only makes her sad and even if she understands that she pays the spousal support for the fact that he’s a stay at home dad, she just can’t discern his need for child support for a child they both bore, “Why does she have to pay him to take care of his own child?” She asked.

“As a Feminist I know my last post is wrong, we should strive for “Gender Equality”. The right to equal rights regardless of gender but I think the life of a woman is hard enough, women don’t win all the time so I’ll always ride for women…

Maybe he was a stay at home dad sha but spousal support is one thing, (she clearly earned more), why does she have to pay him to take care of his own child”, she wrote.

She said that the main reason for her sadness is because men still earn more than women in the workplace and maybe she’s just too against patriarchy.

“For those wondering why it makes me sad, men still earn more than women in the workplace. There are exceptions and the conversations are getting better for equal pay but we are not there yet. I feel bad cos women don’t win all the time so I’ll always want them to win more… Maybe I’m just too against patriarchy or I’m partial. I don’t know”, Toke wrote.

OAP N6 however found Toke’s opinion and comments ridiculous and intellectually degrading. He said that Toke doesn’t have the intellectual range for the many discussion she ventures into, even though with her height and followership, she is supposed to be of a positive influence to Nigerian females. He said that he weeps for people, females especially who keep Toke as their mentor because they do so at their own risk.

N6 wrote; “This babe NEVER EVER has the intellectual range for many of the discussions she chooses to go into. What’s super sad is with her reach and followership she could be really a powerful, positive and educative influence to Nigerian females but everyday it’s one ratchet, trashy statement or behaviour after the other. Make this lady your mentor at your own risk “As a Feminist” my ass. Talking in the nonsense”.
