Nigerian singer Tiwatope Savage professionally as Tiwa Savage, took to her Instagram page to express her feelings towards the Nigerian music industry, the way she is been treated badly in her country but valued outside her country.
Tiwa whose album “Celia” made it to the 10 best albums of the year 2020, can’t help but gush about how excited she was, even though she doubted many things this year, she knew for sure that she and team created magic on her Celia album.
Tiwa went on to quote the bible saying “Only in his hometown and in his own house is a prophet without honor” this is after time magazine picked her Celia album as one of their top 10 albums in the year 2020.
She later revealed in her post that following her heart and stepping out of her comfort zone, she is gingered to drop her next project, as she stated that she is ready for 2021.
“I doubted many things but one thing I knew for sure was what a beautiful body of work myself and everyone involved created. We created MAGIC.
And if you listened to some reviews by my own people you would probably have believed otherwise
Luke 4 16-30 “Only in his hometown and in his own house is a prophet without honor”
Soooo many projects dropped this year all over the world and TIME MAGAZINE picked #CELIA as one of their top 10 albums released this year. Ope ni fun Eledumare
I’m even more gingered to drop my next project, following my heart and stepping out of my comfort zone yet again
2021, I’m ready for you ⚔️🙏🏾”
Who else feels Tiwa Savage is not getting the relevance she deserves in Nigeria?
