AFCON: Egypt, Ghana share the spoils in end to end encounter

Egypt came back from behind twice to hold Ghana to a 2-2 draw in an evenly contested group B showdown at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Abidjan.

Mohammed Kudus put the Black Stars ahead just at the nick of half-time, a few minutes after Egypt lost key man, Mo Salah to a possible injury.

Omar Marmoush brought The Pharaohs back into the game, but Kudus put Ghana back in front barely two minutes later.

With no intentions of relenting, Egypt leveled again courtesy of Mostafa Mohamed, just a few minutes after Ghana had restored the lead.

Safe to say it was a fair result for Egypt, but definitely not for Ghana who are without a win so far and are left at the bottom of Group B with just one point and on the brink of a possible exit from the group stage of the competition for a second time running.

Egypt on the other is second on the log, with two points, one behind the leaders, Cape Verde, who defeated Ghana in their opening game and play Mozambique next.
