AFCON: Super Eagles see off Cameroon to book quarter-finals place

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are through to the quarter-finals of the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations following a 2-0 win over Cameroon in the last 16 encounters.

Both goals were scored by Ademola Lookman in each half of the game, with Victor Osimhen assisting the first goal and Calvin Bassey setting up Lookman for the second goal to seal things off late on. 

For a place in the Semifinals, the Super Eagles will square up against Angola, who trashed Namibia 3-0 despite being a man down earlier on Saturday. 

This game will take place on Friday at Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium.
