Atiku Obtains Presidential Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms.

The North East Business Forum has obtained the 2023 presidential nomination and expression of interest forms for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

The group purchased the form and presented it to Atiku at his Abuja residence a few hours after the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, commenced its sale.

The chairman of the Forum, Dalhatu Funakaya, noted that Atiku has all it takes to position the country on the path to prosperity. The group strongly believes in him.

Funakaya revealed that last year,  the group pleaded with the former Vice President to vie for the Presidential seat, adding that they decided to walk their talk by obtaining the nomination forms for him.

“We made a pledge in Gombe in November 2021, and we called on him to contest and pledged to purchase nomination form for him.”

He stressed that as the group has done its part, it is hopeful the former Vice President will formally declare to contest the 2023 Presidential race on the platform of the PDP.

In his response, Atiku called on Nigerians to remain united to address the country’s litany of challenges.

He said, “The challenges before us are historical; our unity is threatened, the economy is in the worst state of affairs, and our security is a disaster.

“This is why there must be unity to address these challenges.

“The challenges before us is greater than our differences of ethnicity and religion,” Atiku added.

Recently Atiku formally informed the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of his intention to run for president in the 2023 general elections.

He pleaded for another opportunity to represent the PDP in the coming poll. He promised to build bridges across the regions if given the ticket to fly the party’s flag in the forthcoming general elections.

Atiku said: “Please join me in building bridges across this country so that every part of this country will have a sense of belonging.”

“Leaders, elders, wise men of our great party, I call on you to please give me another opportunity to advance all these ideals of our party so that we can consolidate democracy, unity, and development of our country.”
