EPL: Liverpool inflict humiliating 5-0 defeat on Manchester United

Liverpool left nothing to spare as they dealt a heavy 5-0 defeat on Ole Gunnar’s Manchester United in front of an astonished and disappointed Old Trafford crowd.

On a night Manchester United players and fans wish never happened, Mohamed Salah was the Red Devils’ main pain, as the in-form Egypt forward grabbed a hat-trick, to become the English Premier League’s highest-scoring African player.

It was however,  Naby Keira and Diogo Jota, who opened the scoring for the Reds.

Already 4-0 down at halftime, Manchester United fans made no mistakes in letting their frustrating known as they booed their coach and players.

Clearly out of sort and hoping for some positive change, after the break, Ole brought on Paul Pogba, who went on to pick a straight red for a reckless tackle at Keita that saw Liverpool’s midfielder taken off on a stretcher, to all but intensify the misery for his side who were already trailing five goals behind.

Soon after, the highly infuriated home fans started making their way out, as they couldn’t stand the nightmare they were being subjected to at the “Theatre of Dreams”.

The result leaves Manchester United out of the top four spots as they are now seventh on the league table, as pressure continues to mount on Ole Gunnar to turn the fortunes of the club and return them to their “glory days”.
