Liverpool beat Chelsea to clinch FA Cup

Liverpool defeated Chelsea 6-5 on a penalty to clinch their 8th, and first FA Cup title since 2006.

The keenly contested Wembley final was a replica of the Carabao Cup final in February.

After playing out a goalless draw that dragged the game into a shootout, the decisive moment came when Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson saved Mason Mount’s spot-kick, leaving Kostas Tsimikas to secure Liverpool’s second trophy of the season.

Jurgen Klopp’s men who now two trophies away from bagging a possible historic quadruple, with the Premier League title and have the Champions League final against Real Madrid still up for grabs.

Meanwhile, Chelsea were left very devasted as they became the first side to lose three successive FA Cup finals.
