Liverpool snatch hard-earned draw against Brighton in six goal thriller

Liverpool put up a hard fight to come from behind and squeeze out a point against Brighton and save themselves some blushes at home.

The visitors were already two goals ahead before 30 minutes thanks to Leandro Trossard’s brace.

Before the break, Roberto Firmino pulled one back to set Jurgen Klopp’s side on course for a flight back.
Nine minutes after the break, Firmino levelled things for the Reds, before Adam Webster scored an own goal to put the home side ahead.
Liverpool didn’t hold on to the lead as Trossard grabbed his third of the day and an equalizer for the visitors in the 83rd minute to gift them a well deserved point.

The result leaves Liverpool, who are enduring a slow and frustrating start to the season at ninth, 11 points behind League leaders Arsenal, who they will square up against next Sunday.
