In an exclusive interview with BBC Radio 1xtra Nigerian afrobeat singer, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu Rex professionally known as Burnaboy declares Nigeria as the black nation on the face of the earth.
The Odogwu singer, when asked what the sars campaign meant to him and the young people in Nigeria, seeing everybody coming together and paying attention. Burna boy while answering the question stated in his words
“I mean, you have to understand that this is even bigger than Nigeria, you have to understand that Nigeria is the biggest black nation on the face of the earth.”
The singer went on saying that
“I believe that any revolution will start from them. If Nigeria can overcome and Nigeria can become, can reach its full potential and the youths can make sure that happens by rising up and fighting for their rights like they’re doing at this time, then that is just going to be like a domino effect for the rest of the world, that’s why this is so important, even beyond just us as Nigerians and what we’ve been suffering for years at the hands of the same set of people.”
This is just the beginning, it is not just about end SARS at this point, its become a revolution man. It becomes “we want the new Nigeria” and soon it will become “we want the new Africa” he added.
Burna boy shared the interview on his Instagram page, with the writeup;
