Nollywood Actor Amaechi Muonagor is Dead
Nollywood has been thrown into mourning with the passing of one of its legendary icons, Amaechi Muonagor, who died at the age of 61.
Muonagor, known for his outstanding performances alongside Aki and Pawpaw, made an indelible impression on Nollywood with his talent and personality.
Despite his success in the entertainment industry, Muonagor faced health challenges in recent years.
Reports of his illness surfaced online as he sought financial assistance from the public at large, prompting concern among fans and colleagues alike.
In a video that surfaced online, Muonagor who was barely audible in the video, greeted in Igbo before saying additional things that were impossible to understand due to his poor voice.
His cousin later, gave an update on his illness, disclosing that the actor is battling kidney disease, diabetes, and stroke and pleading with the public to come to his aid.
He stated that Amaechi has been undergoing weekly dialysis and physiotherapy to treat the paralysis brought on by stroke.
Now the actor’s health has degenerated and needs financial support to undergo a kidney transplant in India. The actor in the video pleaded for help from Nigerians to save his life.
Efforts were made to support him in seeking medical treatment, including trips to India for specialized care, but he gave up the ghost in the midst of all that.
