Queen Elizabeth has announced in the Buckingham Palace statement early hours of today, February 19, that prince harry and Meghan Markle will not be returning as working members of the royal family after stepping down for nearly a year.
The decision was quite shocking to many as Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed it was a hard and sad decision for them to make, referring to Harry and Meghan as “much-loved members of the family.”
The had written:
“confirming that in stepping away from the work of the Royal Family, it is not possible to continue with the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service.”
But Prince Harry and Meghan Markle responded to the queens statement above, saying they;
“remain committed to their duty and service to the UK and worldwide. We can all live a life of service. Service is universal.”
Well, stepping down as workers of the royal family means that both Harry and Meghan will not hold on to their military Commonwealth and some other patronages.
