YNG Cheese, the son of Philadelphia rapper Gillie Da Kid, has been killed at the age of 25 following a triple shooting which also left two others injured.
The shooting occurred in Philadelphia on Thursday night on the 5800 block of Mascher Street. Police were called to the scene at 8:24pm.
Authorities confirmed that a 25-year-old man was shot once in the back and taken to hospital. He was pronounced dead at 8:39pm.
A 28-year-old man and a 31-year-old man were also shot and taken to hospital. Both are said to be in a stable condition.
Police said one of the victims ran to a nearby home and no weapons were recovered, although authorities confirmed they discovered ten spent sell cases at the scene.
Speaking to NBC10, police did not reveal the identity of the man who died. However, a source close to the family confirmed to the publication that the victim was YNG Cheese.
Also, the news was confirmed by the Philly podcaster’s co-host and cousin in an Instagram post Thursday evening;
