Serie A; Two goals for Ronaldo, Three points for Juventus

Cristiano Ronaldo marked his milestone 100th appearance for Juventus with a brace, which helped hand the Italian champions victory over struggling Genoa.

The talisman man has now scored 79 goals in 100 appearances for the Italian giants.

Paulo Dybala gave Juve the lead in the second half; a minute later, Federico Chiesa thought he’d made it two for the visitors, but his goal is ruled out for offside by the referee!

Barely two minutes after, Stefano Sturaro brought the home side on leveled terms.

Juve saw another of their goal disallowed as Dybala’s overhead kick got ruled off.

The home side thought they could hold on and salvage a point, but Ronaldo scored from the spot after a foul on Juan Cuadrado to put the visitors ahead.

Another penalty to Juventus for a foul on Alvaro Morata and another well-converted spot-kick by Ronaldo sealed all three points for Juventus, who now sit fourth in the table, three points behind leaders AC Milan, who played Parma later on Sunday.

Genoa is 19th, a point ahead of bottom side Crotone.

Earlier on Sunday, Inter Milan won 3-1 at Cagliari to maintain their place in the second spot, a point ahead of Napoli and Juventus.
