UCL: Man City shake off Belgrade scare with comeback victory
Manchester City kicked off their Champions League defence with an impressive 3-1 comeback victory over Red Star Belgrade.
The Serbian champions took the lead just at the nick of half-time, courtesy of Osman Bukari, much to the dismay of City, who had been the better side.
Two minutes after the break, Julian Alvarez brought City back into the game and went on to double the lead in the 60th minute, before Rodri bagged a third and the eventual winner for Pep Guardiola’s side.
