Whitemoney Declared Winner of Big Brother Naija Season 6

It’s day 72 of the ‘Shine Ya Eye’ season and the show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu turned up for the BBNaija season 6 grand finale looking dashing in a fully hand-beaded burgundy velvet tuxedo which according to the designer, took over 72 hours to hand stitch and bead only the front panel of the jacket.

For the first time on the BBNaija stage, Afrobeats singer, Made Kuti serenaded the audience with a pack-punching performance. Interestingly, a physical audience was present at the center of the show a first since the pandemic.

Ready for the night’s events, the six finalists – Whitemoney, Liquorose, Pere, Cross, Angel and Emmanuel looked really good and Biggie had some sweet words for the finalists, addressing them by their trademark. 

Biggie addressed them by their trademark, “Angel – The real hot girl

Cross – The life of the party

Emmanuel – Mr Africa and the Ultimate Veto Power Holder

Liquorose – Dancer extraordinaire

Pere – Wildcard turned finalist. Mr Military

Whitemoney – Maazi, the resident chef”.

The first finalist to be evicted was surprisingly the veto power holder of the season, Emmanuel. Emmanuel joined Ebuka on the BBNaija main stage to discuss his time in the house. He revealed that he was very surprised he got that far. Also discussing the issue with Liquorose last night, Emmanuel revealed that he did not hear when she said she wished she had dropped him earlier. He revealed that he is ready for the industry outside the house and would like to delve into fashion and modeling head-on.

When asked about his relationship with Liquorose outside the house, Emmanuel said, “There’s only one way to find out when we’re both out of the house”.

After a thrilling performance from ex-BBN housemate Avala, Ebuka announced the eviction of another fan-favorite, Angel. After getting evicted from the BBNaija house, Angel told Ebuka that she will think about her relationship with Cross. She also said she plans to start a mental health blog.

Cross’ eviction followed closely. leaving the top three of the season- Whitemoney, Liquorose and Pere.

Speaking to Ebuka after he got evicted from the BBNaija house, Cross revealed that he knew he wasn’t going to win but he wanted to be top 3. He said Angel is an amazing girl and he’s going to see how it goes with her.

The second runner-up of the season predictably turned out to be the General himself, Pere. The 36-year-old had an intriguing run on the show from being a wild card to his tussle in the finals with Angel.

Speaking on stage after he got evicted, Pere told his fellow BBNaija wildcard, Maria, that he loves her. He said he wants to focus on Nollywood outside the house but is also open to other things.

Next, Laycon performed “Wagwan” and “Verified” on the BBNaija stage, followed by Lojay who  took the live show to another level with his energetic performance of “Monalisa. Ajebo Hustlers also brought their sauce to the stage with a performance of “Pronto.

To the moment fans anticipated all night, Ebuka changed into a second outfit a blue agbada ensemble that had everyone talking. At this point, Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye Top 2 housemates – Liquorose and Whitemoney left the house and the lights went out

With the strongest contenders, Liquorose and Whitemoney, now the big question on everyone’s mind, “Will it be Liquorose or Whitemoney?”

While  they were on stage, Ebuka asked Whitemoney, “What’s next for Whitemoney?” And his response, “Business!”

Liquorose said apart from dancing, she’s going into movies, music and releasing her book.

Finally, the moment came and Ebuka declared Whitemoney the winner of the Big Brother Naija ‘Shine Ya Eye’season 6. Whitemoney won the grand prize of N90 million worth of prizes including N30 million in cash, an apartment, a brand new car and more.

Whitemoney won the season in a landslide victory scooping 47% of viewer’s votes. Liquorose came second place with 22.99% of the votes.

As soon as WhiteMoney was declared winner of BBNaija Shine Ya Eye, his fans and well-wishers stormed the online space with their reactions in droves. Among those reactions were words from former winners, Laycon and Mercy.

“Congratulations to Whitemoney. Good luck to all the housemates, the world awaits your great exploits, go and conquer.”
