EPL: Arsenal ease past 10-man Tottenham in North London Derby
Arsenal pulled off an impressive performance in Saturday’s North London Derby as they outclassed Tottenham with a 3-1 win to maintain top spot on the Premier League table.
Thomas Partey gave Mikel Arterta’s men a screaming lead, 20 minutes into the game but Harry Kane converted a penalty levelled things up before the break.
Gabriel Jesus put the host back in front six minutes after the break.
Things soon went from bad to worse for Spurs when Emerson Royal was shown a straight red for a reckless foul on Gabriel Martinelli in the 62nd minute.
Five minutes later, Granite Xhaka sealed the deserving victory for the inform Arsenal side.
For their next challenge, the high flying Gunners will take on a rather striggliny Liverpool on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium, in a highly anticipated encounter.
