Man City see off Newcastle with lone-goal victory

Defending champions Manchester City ticked off their second game of the season with a 1-0 win over a resilient Newcastle United.

The visitors had their moments of brilliance and remained determined to get something out of the game but they were unable to and they got handed their first defeat of the season, after recording an impressive 5-1 victory over Aston Villa in their opening game of the season last weekend.
