Hilda Baci cries out over GWR confirmation delay, despite submitting her cook-a-thon evidence

Guinness World Records is taking time to acknowledge and declare Hilda Baci the new record holder for the longest cooking marathon after she surpassed the previous record holder to hit a 100+ hour cook-a-thon.

It is no longer news that Hilda Baci, the head cook at FoodbyHilda, commenced a four-day ‘cook-a-thon’, and concluded it after 100 hours and 40 minutes of non-stop cooking. She surpassed the previous record of 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 seconds by Lata Tondon in Rewa, India, in 2019.

Upon breaking the world record on the cooking marathon, the GWR team would have to officially acknowledge her achievement before she can be declared the new record holder.

In a recent development, Hilda Baci took to social media to express her restlessness and anxiety as she had been waiting patiently to get verified and certified as the new record holder.

Speaking on how anxious she has been, she wrote:

“God Abeg… Not me refreshing my email every second since we submitted all the evidence to Guinness World Records…”

In response to Hilda Baci’s post on Twitter, GWR revealed that their records team is currently reviewing the evidence.

“Our records team is working on it,” the official Twitter handle of Guinness World Records replied Baci’s tweet.
