Akpabio Is A Lion  Who Stops At Nothing Even With All The Distractions – Agwai

A chieftain of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Mohd Agwai (Shettiman Keffi), has expressed concern that the National assembly, led by Senator Godswill Akpabio, would become a rubber-stamped 10th Senate and that, as the personification of unity, Akpabio would unify Nigeria through legislation.

Agwai stated this while speaking with Journalists in Lafia on Friday. He pointed out that Akpabios’ extensive administrative experience will not only increase the nation’s unity but also improve relations between the three branches of government and widen the divide between the North and the South.

Unusual leadership abilities and the ability to be accepted by people on opposing sides, according to a former member of the governing board of the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), Akpabio, would assist develop bridges throughout the nation.

“The insinuations in some quarters that the National Assembly especially the Senate under the leadership of Senator Godswill Akpabio will be a rubber-stamped 10th assembly was not just a mere imagination of those working against the progress of the country,  but deploying their evil tendencies to give APC a bad name”, Mohd Agwai stated.

According to  Shettiman Keffi,  “For the nation’s democracy to be taken seriously among the comity of nations. The citizens must learn to respect the constituted authorities, live by example, support the leaders, shun divisive tendencies in all their dealings”.

The Nasarawa State APC stakeholder who applauded the lawmakers for choosing Akpabio as the Senate president also praised Nigerians for their fortitude and persistence in the face of the current suffering brought on by the elimination of subsidies, claiming that the crisis was temporary.

“Senator Godswill Akpabio’s uncommon leadership and commitment to the development of the Niger Delta region should be used as an index to judge him over and above the expectations of Nigerians in the next four years. His leadership style has proven that there were still Nigerians who are good and can be trusted with the responsibility of moving this nation forward, fostering unity, peace and as well build bridges across all parts of Nigeria irrespective of religion, ethnic and political inclinations”.

He pointed out that given Senator Akpabio’s accomplishments as a former Niger Delta minister, it would not be inappropriate to support him, the 10th Assembly, and President Ahmed Bola Tinibu in their efforts to revive the country’s economy and pass enabling laws that would alter the narrative in the nation’s polity.
