Arsenal hit Palace with five, reigniting title hopes

Arsenal have repositioned themselves back into the Premier League title charge with an empathic 5-0 victory over Crystal Palace at the Emirates.

The Gunners who had dropped to fifth from the top of the table by the start of 2024, got straight to business with an 11th minutes opener courtesy of Gabriel and were 2-0 up at half with Palace keeper,  Henderson, deflecting home the second goal.

After the break, Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli saw to it that the job was sealed, as Arterta’s side moved to third, level on points with second place, City and two points behind leaders, Liverpool, who have both played a game lesser than Arsenal.
