Arsenal lose to Villa as Liverpool take top spot

Arsenal has dropped to second on the EPL table, after being handed a narrow 1-0 defeat by Aston Villa.

John McGinn’s seven minutes strike was the difference, as Villa continued their impressive home run and form, having defeated reigning champions, Manchester City on Wednesday.

The defeat, Arsenal’s second of the season, moved Arterta’s men to second a point behind Liverpool who are now top of the log following a 2-1 comeback victory over Crystal Palace, while Villa are third, a point behind Arsenal.
