Manchester United suffer embarrassing 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth

Manchester United failed to maintain the momentum of their midweek win over Chelsea, as Ten Hag’s men fell to a humiliating 3-0 defeat at home to Bournemouth.Β

Dominic Solanke opened the scoring for the visitors five minutes into the game and after the break, Philip Billing and Marcos Senesi sealed Bournemouth’s first ever victory at Old Trafford.

United’s season so far has been characterized by runs like this, win a game, lose the next, as well as a bad home form, and it’s looking more bleak for the Red Devils who have now suffered seven defeats in 16 league games.

With their next game coming up against Bayern Munich (who also suffered a shocking 5-1 defeat to Frankfurt in the Bundesliga on Saturday), in the Champions League, next week, a must-win fixture if they wish to qualify for the round of 16, the pressure continues to mount on Erik Ten Hag to turn things around and get more consistent and impressive performances, which include wins from his team.
