Arsenal snatch later winner in racy seven-goal thriller against Luton

Arsenal left it very late, as Declan Rice rose highest to head home a stoppage-time winner, in an entertaining 4-3 encounter against Luton.

Luton had gone into the game as the underdog, despite the fact that they were at home and though they trailed Mikel Arterta’s 2-1 at half time, the soon found they way back into the game after the break.


The took the lead in the 57th minute, giving Arsenal a run for their money and forcing a response from them, which Kai Havertz provided three minutes later. 

A 3-3 scoreline seemed like a perfect fit for the game, as Luton deserved to take something from the game, having produced an excellent contest, but that was not to be as, Arsenal’s summer signing, had his head at the right place, right on the nick to time, to snatch a winner, sending the Gunners 5 points clear at the top of the log. 

Luton lost, but they gave their all, and they can be proud of that!
