Pere has experienced a great deal of difficulty getting past his crush, Maria. Despite his denials and toughness on the outside, he still has that soft spot for Maria.
Despite being turned down multiple times, Pere had tried to remain resolute in his pursuit of Maria until his conversation with Beatrice and later, Cross, where he bluntly stated out that he is over his feelings for Maria.

Well, in the latest development on the show, Pere told Maria about his ultimate sexual desire towards her beneath the sheets.
You want to know something, you are the only person I have had a hard on for,” Pere shared. As expected, his advances were turned down by Maria.
Maria and Pere’s relationship in the house is one that is not easily comprehendible and Pere, who harbours more of the love interest has refused to kill his attractions for her despite being turned down on numerous occasions.
Few hours ago, Queen engaged Pere in a discussion about people she likes in the house, of which she mentioned Whitemoney, Boma and Pere. But she told Pere that he is already taken so she is replacing him with Sammie.
In response, Pere said, “Are you the one that put me inside the ship? I’m not in any ship in this house”.
Minutes later, Pere made his move on Queen as he was spotted with her on her bed, holding her hands and whispering seductive words to her ears.
In a separate chat with Saga, Pere said he regrets making Maria his Deputy Head of House, following the heated argument which ensued between Maria and Queen.
After the misunderstanding between Maria and Queen, Pere confronted Maria but she was defensive, instead of apologetic. Speaking to Saga, Pere said
“I regret making Maria my assistant Head of house. She’s bringing disrespect to the office of the Head of House”.
