The Oyo State Commissioner for Information, Tourism, and Culture, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun, has lauded Governor Seyi Makinde over his achievements and canvassed a second term for him.
Olatubosun stated this Thursday at the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Oyo State Council.
He noted that alongside other loyalists they would do everything possible in ensuring that governor Makinde returns to the Agodi Government House for a second tenure.
The commissioner noted that he has begun reaching out to people on Makinde’s second term bid and will keep the tone high in every nook and cranny of the state.
Although the governor who came into office on May 29, 2019, is yet to make comments on a second bid, Olatubosun noted that the achievements of the governor were enough to make the people re-elect him.
He stressed that the achievements could be seen in education, health, agriculture, and other sectors.
According to the commissioner, “For me, I will go all out to start selling my product and my product is Governor Seyi Makinde; Seyi Makinde for the second term. I am starting my political evangelism for Governor Seyi Makinde and I will do everything I can do to ensure he returns to the Government House Agodi.
“We have enough achievements by the governor. In the health sector, we are building primary health centers in 351 wards; this will give people at the grassroots access to healthcare. Education is free and the governor is doing his best in terms of security, although insecurity is not peculiar to Oyo State.”
The commissioner who also spoke on kidnap cases on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway noted that the government was working with the police and other security agencies such as Amotekun to increase patrol and visibility in the area.
