Court grants Actor Moses Armstrong bail over alleged rape case

Popular Nollywood Actor and special assistant to the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Moses Armstrong has been granted bail by a High Court sitting in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

Moses Armstrong was arrested on June 16 for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl. Sources claim the girl is the thespian’s family relative, who was put under his care.

The actor reportedly committed the crime with the girl about three years ago.

He was arrested after the alleged victim, who was said to have been schooling outside Nigeria, returned to the country recently and petitioned the wife of the state governor with respect to the rape allegation.

In a series of fresh posts by the embattled actor’s friends, it was revealed that the actor has been set free by the court.

One of his friends who announced his freedom said the court’s ruling was fair.

The actor who was also suspended by the Actor Guild of Nigeria over the rape case is yet to release an official statement regarding his freedom.
