Court remands Naira Marley and Sam Larry in police custody for 21 days over Mohbad’s Death

A  Magistrate Court sitting in Yaba, Lagos State, on Wednesday, October 4, issued an order for the remand of singer Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, and Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, better known as Sam Larry, in police custody.

Recall that earlier today, “Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, was been taken into custody for interrogation and other investigation”, spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, Ben Hundeyin, confirmed.

The Lagos State Police Command had filed a request for Naira Marley and the other suspects to be detained for 30 days pending the completion of their investigation into the mysterious death of Mohbad.

However, Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun, in her ruling, ordered that Naira Marley and the others should be remanded for only 21 days.

Naira Marley and Sam Larry became prime suspects in the death of Mohbad after several videos of harassment and bullying he suffered at the hands of the duo while was alive surfaced on the internet.

Also before Mohbad’s death, in the midst of his distress, Mohbad cried out on IG live, stating that if he died today, Marlian Music and his boss Naira Marley killed him.

“I didn’t know these people have been hating on me; they have been doing bad bad things on me. Because of this issue; everybody in the whole world please help me, if I die like this, it is Marlian Music and Naira Marley that killed me”, Mohbad clearly stated.
