Fayose To Reunite Ekiti PDP

Former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, has said the main opposition, the Peoples Democratic Party, is all it takes to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.

Fayose stated this during his appearance on Channels Television  Politics Today, Wednesday. He noted that the party must produce the next president.

According to him, “PDP must produce the next president in Nigeria. There is nobody that can vote for this party(APC) again. The government has lost its bearing on how to control the country. People are hungry, you are building a rice pyramid. Carry the rice to the grassroots,” he said.

He lauded the National Chairman of the PDP, Iyorchia Ayu, for conducting himself with discipline and decorum.

Fayose noted that the chairman had warned all stakeholders to avoid any form of lobbying as he will not be a part of it.

While responding on his relationship with the National Leader of the All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Fayose noted that he has respect for Tinubu as a Yoruba leader, but he pay allegiance to his party.

The former Governor stressed that he will remain committed to ensuring that the PDP in Ekiti state is united to win the governorship election.

“I believe that anyone who wants to rule Nigeria must first govern his state. My work is to reunite all members of the state and the party to win the governorship election, whether the person is my candidate or not. Even if former governor Segun Oni wins the primaries, I will support him,” Fayose said.
