Ganduje Emerges As APC National Chair

The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has elected former Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, as the National Chairman of the party.

His appointment was announced today at the 12th NEC meeting of the party held at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton in Abuja.

Ajibola Basiru was also elected as National Secretary of the party. Members of the party in the National Assembly and APC chieftains were on the ground to elect the two officers. 

President Bola Tinubu speaking at the party’s 12th NEC said the APC has won the elections and it is now time to deliver the promises of good governance to the Nigerian people.

He asserted that the 2023 election was the best election in Nigeria’s history. 

Empire had reported the resignation of the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Abdullahi Adamu alongside his secretary Senator Iyiola Omisore. It was reported that the embattled chairman had submitted his resignation letter to the Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila. 

After his resignation, the Deputy National Chairman (North) of the party, Senator Abubakar Kyari, took over as the party’s acting National Chairman.

Meanwhile, APC’s National Legal Adviser, Ahmed El-Marzuk, has tendered his resignation from the party’s National Working Committee, NWC.

On Wednesday, El-Marzuk announced his resignation from his position as a result of some of his colleagues’ insistence that he should vacate the position because of the accusations made against him.
