Hilda Baci denies charging N25,000 to meet supporters in Abuja
Popular Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci has debunked reports that she is charging twenty-five thousand Naira, for a meet and greet in Abuja.
According to viral reports, Hilda Baci is allegedly charging a significant amount of N25,000 for personal meet-ups in Abuja. It is said that individuals will have to pay this fee to have a brief encounter with her on June 24, 2023.
A flier promoting the alleged event, which includes a live cooking and food tasting session, surfaced on the internet on Friday, triggering several reactions.
Nigerians immediately took to several platforms to express their disappointment and concern over what they see as an exorbitant fee to meet a chef who hasn’t yet been awarded the Guiness World Record.

Also, social media commentator Daniel Regha criticized Hilda, saying, “Hilda Bacis is nothing without Nigerians. If the masses didn’t support and get her trending, many celebs wouldn’t show up to fake hype her Cookathon. It’s a sad but honest truth. Her meet and greet should be free as a way to show appreciation. Charging N25k (if true) is ridiculous.”
Taking to her Twitter handle, Hilda debunked these allegations. In her words,
“Hi everyone, this is to inform everyone that I’m not doing any meet and greet in Abuja. I would also never ask anyone to pay for such. 🙏🏾 Thanks.”
When a Twitter user claimed that the tweet was just damage control in response to the reactions the alleged event triggered, Hilda responded;
