“I could be married and the public won’t know.”- Mr Eazi

Speaking with Susan Pwajok on the podcast Surviving Lagos’, Nigerian singer, Mr. Eazi spoke about navigating celebrity life, and how they choose which information to divulge.

Mr. Eazi explained that he could be married to Temi Otedola already and people would not know about it because he did not wear a ring or make a public announcement.

He also stated that he keeps his family off social media since the celebrity lifestyle is toxic and he does not want people to know too much about his personal life.

In his words;

“I was engaged for two weeks before the world knew I was engaged, so it’s like I could be married right now and you wouldn’t know and maybe I’m just not wearing my ring. It’s just how you feel, is not everything that should be outside. I think I posted an old picture of my parents out once for their 30. you know this celebrity life is not healthy and it’s not everything that should be out there.”

Eazi and Temi met five years ago through a family connection and in April 2022, he popped the big question.

He said the idea to propose while filming his music video ‘Legalize’ came to Eazi after discovering that he’d subconsciously freestyled an entire song about Temi. 

The couple also opened up on their plans to have a very intimate wedding ceremony.

Temi Otedola revealed that she only expected close family and friends at her wedding. 

“Like knowing me if I’m walking around my wedding venue and I’m like I don’t know this person that will annoy me because I’m a very private person. Even for a birthday party, I have to really rock with everyone there.” 

She also joked that anyone who wants them to have a big wedding should be ready to pay ten thousand dollars per person or one million dollars for a table.
