“I will not attend the RHOL Reunion” – Iyabo Ojo reveals

A real housewife of Lagos, Iyabo Ojo has disclosed that she won’t be attending the upcoming reunion for season 2 of the reality TV show.

Recall how Iyabo Ojo faced criticism on social media during the reality TV show, for harassing and her colleagues and fellow housemates, Laura Ikeji and Faith Morey.

The actress eventually apologized after the show, stating that she was merely promoting content for the show and that the show’s organizers also removed segments in which Laura and Faith bullied her.

Iyabo said she chose to become the villain in the second season of the show because the producers told her she had low ratings in the first season.

She explained that after receiving feedback about her low ratings in the first season, she decided to step up her game in the second season and become the villain by adding a touch of drama. Iyabo Ojo said on Instagram in 2023:

“There is no real housewives without drama, It is not possible. So if you choose to not give drama, you know you have to be on the calm side. Last year, Laura chose to give drama and that is why most of the time when we asked Laura “Why are you behaving like this?” She would say it’s for the show, no hard feelings. That does not mean that fights don’t happen on the show.

“There are certain things that happen on the show, that you are given directives to do. For me, the show told me that in season one, my ratings were low because I did not do any drama, I really didn’t do drama so my ratings were low. So I said this year, I said I will give drama,”

In a recent development, the reality TV star announced on social media that she would not be attending the show’s reunion following multiple conversations with her kids and partner, Paul Okoye.

She wrote, “After a lot of back and forth, i choose to listen to my family, loved ones, most especially my man and my children, and also the brands I work with, so I will not be attending the RHOLagos2 reunion.”
