Former Big brother Naija housemate and reality TV star, Ike Onyema has thrown a subtle shade at a woman he once dated, years after his relationship with the fellow reality star, Mercy Eke.

The ‘Pepper dem’ season of the big brother show was spiced up by Ike Onyema and Mercy’s relationship. Their relationship was a real buzz to the viewers and everyone fancied the.

 Fans had hoped that their love will remain aflame even after the show but they were disappointed when it was later revealed that they aren’t together anymore.

In an interview with Vanguardlive TV, Ike blamed social media for playing a major role in their breakup.

“I’ve been in a couple of relationships but this one (with Mercy) wasn’t it; having a relationship where people have a million opinions just isn’t it,” he lamented. He also stated that he is open to a new relationship only if the prospective partner would meet his standards.

“I will like to date a lady that is intelligent, pretty much independent and not so freaked about social media. I believe social media brings a lot of negative vibes from people when it comes to relationship”, Ike clearly stated.

Fast forward to today, Ike took to TikTok to share a video where he referred to himself as a “big fool”, accompanied by the caption, “When I remember how I tried to change a ho3 into a housewife.”

Although no name was mentioned, Netizens were quick to conclude that he was shading his ex, Mercy Lambo, as she is fondly called.

Meanwhile, it was earlier alleged that Mercy dumped Ike for a wealthy man who was said to be bankrolling her.

Responding to the allegations, Mercy aid she was not moved by what people say about the success she has recorded since she left the BBN House, adding that “I am not worried about what people say or think about my wealth. I know that in this part of the world, people always believe that when a woman is successful, she’s being funded by a man.

“I worked hard for every penny I have made in life. It is very wrong for anybody to conclude that I am successful because I am being bankrolled by a man”.
