Manny Monie, who used to be signed to Portable’s label ‘Zeh Nation’, has taken credit for Portable’s recent troubles with the police.
Recall that officers of the Ogun state police command stormed Portable’s bar in the Sango area of the state on Tuesday and attempted to arrest him, which he resisted.
The Zazuu star resisted arrest and challenged them to know the reason for showing up and went on Instagram live to reveal that a Yahoo boy hired 20 police officers to intimidate him.
“Show me your arrest warrant. Why did you come to my office to arrest people? You came and everyone was running. A yahoo boy sent police to arrest me just because I advised him to stop doing yahoo and vent into music.
”Are the police and Yahoo boys now working together? I don’t do Yahoo. I’m a musician. If you want to invite me to your station, you will invite me with money,” he said in the viral Instagram live video.
In a new development, Manny Monie, who was previously signed to Portable’s label ‘Zeh Nation’, has revealed that he is the one behind Portable’s woes.
He disclosed that he filed a petition against the Zazu star after he allegedly beat him to pulp and seized his studio equipment worth N884,000.
The petition, titled “Petition of threat to life, threatening violence, assault causing harm, and unlawful seizure of my musical gadgets (studio) against Portable, Churchill, Tino Santa, and others,” was filed on December 2, 2022.
He also posted a video on his Instagram page denying Portable’s claim that he is a yahoo boy and stated that police investigations will prove he is not a fraudster.
