Junior Pope: Filmmaker donates N1.2m to families of drowned makeup artist and soundman

A filmmaker Chukwuma Innocent Ideh has donated to the families of the soundman and makeup artist who died in the boat accident on the Anam River.

He donated N500,000 into the soundman’s account and gave the bereaved makeup artist’s family a donation of N700,000.

Recall that Anambra State police authorities have recovered three more bodies from the boat accident involving the movie cast, including Nollywood actor, Junior Pope.

The boat, one of two that conveyed a movie crew to a film location in Anambra West Local Government Area of the state, was returning to its takeoff point in Asaba, Delta State when the unfortunate accident occurred.

In similar news, Gospel singer Mercy Chinwo and her husband, Pastor Blessed, have given 50 students of the University of Port Harcourt (Uniport) scholarships.

The couple made an unexpected announcement during their eagerly awaited “Overwhelming Victory Concert” at the institution. They announced their choice to provide 50 students with scholarships.

In their speech, Mercy Chinwo and Pastor Blessed emphasized to the crowd their dedication to education and the one-year scholarships they were providing.
