Manchester United crash out of FA Cup

Manchester United failed to advance to the next round of the FA Cup after suffering a shocking defeat to Championship side Middlesbrough, on penalties.

United went into the break with a goal advantage, thanks to Jadon Sancho’s 25 minute goa which came five minutes after Cristiano Ronaldo had sent a penalty wide.

The visitors came back into the game with a controversial goal in the 64th minute and with both sides, especially Manchester United, failing to grab a winner, even after extra time, the game headed into penalty shootouts.

After an even seven shots for both sides,Young striker Anthony Elanga, fired his kick over the bar, eliciting wild celebrations from the visitors as the home fans and their players, bowed their heads in utter disappointment, as they watched their most realistic chance of silverware wither away.

The draw for the FA Cup fifth round will take place at on Sunday.
