Manchester United risks Champions League elimination with draw against Galatasaray

Manchester United’s chances of advancing to the next stage of the Champions League have gotten thinner, following a disappointing 3-3 draw against Galatasaray.

United got off to a good start in Istanbul, with Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes, putting them in front 18 minutes into the game, before Hakim Ziyech, pulled one back with a well-taken free kick.

The host got a goal ruled out before the break, leaving the visitors in the driver’s seat at halftime.

After the break, Scott McTominay made it three for Erik Ten Hag’s side, and then came Onana with the errors leading to Ziyech’s second goal and Kerem Akturkoglu’s equalizer,  leaving United in a very difficult position, as they are bottom of Group A with their last group game at home against Bayern Munich, who were held to a goalless draw by Copenhagen but have already qualified for the round of 16.
