MOBO Awards: Simi questions organisers on why Adekunle Gold didn’t make ‘Best African Music Act’ nominee list
Simi has been one of Adekunle Gold’s motivation through his musical career, pushing him to do better and attain greater heights. But she seems displeased after organisers of the UK prestigious awards for Black music and culture The MOBO Awards didn’t enlist AG in the nominees list with the likes of Davido, Ckay, Tems, Rema, Wizkid, Ayra Starr.
Simi, in a post via her Twitter handle, queried the organisers of the 2021 MOBO Awards over the ‘Best African Music Act’ nominee list as she asked why her husband, Adekunle Gold, didn’t make the list with the likes of Davido, Ckay, Tems, Rema, Wizkid, Ayra Starr.
She stressed that MOBO’s tweet regarding the nominations list is wrong as she believes AG Baby is supposed to be among the nominees.

This year MOBO Awards will take place in Coventry, the UK’s City of Culture, on the 5th of December, 2021 at The Coventry Building Society Arena.
