Nollywood costumier Prince Onyenwere arrested for allegedly raping 10-year-old kid actress on movie set
The Delta state police have taken into custody, a well-known Nollywood costumier in Asaba, Prince Onyewere for allegedly subjecting a kid actress to sexual assault on set.
Eyewitnesses provided accounts of the distressing incident, shedding light on how it unfolded during the filming session.
According to reports, the incident transpired on Sunday, January 28th, at the hotel where Prince and his fellow crew members had lodged for a movie shoot.
Prince reportedly took the minor to one of the hotel rooms to assist with her wardrobe change for the next scene. However, they ended up taking longer than anticipated, prompting the movie producer to ask someone to check on them.
Regrettably, upon arrival, the door to the room was locked, and the girl kept screaming for help.
The door was forcefully opened, and the little girl was found crying profusely with blo*dstains all over the floor, creating a suspicion that the costume designer allegedly r*ped the girl after asking her to strip for a costume change.
In some of the videos making rounds online, Prince can be seen being interrogated and stripped naked by furious eyewitnesses. The hotel room was also covered in the victim’s blood.
It was gathered that Prince was thereafter handed over to men of the Delta State Police Command for prosecution.
