Okorocha calls for continuum Government, Commends Gov. Wike.

The Former Governor of Imo State, and Senator representing Imo West, Rochas Okorocha, has said good people need to come together irrespective of their political parties to make Nigeria great.
On Monday, he said this while commissioning the Rumueche/Rumuakunde Ohna Awuse Road in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Okorocha noted that Nigerians are not asking too much of their leaders but to build a great nation. And this can be achieved when good people come together.

According to him, any leader who cannot meet the people’s basic needs must be considered a failed leader.
“In this dispensation, there are many bad people in APC and many bad people in PDP. I think the good people of APC and the good people of PDP must come together for the purpose of making Nigeria great.”

“I could imagine where I joined forces with Wike, let us bring all like minds and great people of Nigeria. Rather than complaining, let us come together to make this nation greater and greater as it should be.”

“The masses of Nigeria are not asking for too much from their leaders. All they are saying to us is, give us necessities of life – water, light, roads – and then you can do whatever you want to do.
“That is all that they ask. I think that leaders who are able to provide this for their people must be considered as failed leaders,” he added.

Okorocha also applauded Governor Nyesom Wike, the Rivers State Governor, for not being a failed leader and lauding the governor’s administration successes in providing infrastructural projects.

The Senator said he was shocked by the giant strides he has seen, recorded in the state so far. He added that despite the cold friendship between Wike and his predecessor, Rotimi Amaechi, he continued with past administration projects.

He further commended Governor Wike for making government a continuum, calling on political leaders to emulate Wike rather than destroy the projects embarked upon by others.
