Ronaldo set record as Manchester United edge past Everton

Cristiano Ronaldo set a new record as he scored his 700th club goal, as Manchester United pulled a comeback victory over Everton’s away at Godison Park.

The Portuguese powerhouse who has been enduring a rather difficult season in front of goal,  was really elated when he scored the second goal which eventually became the winning goal.

Alex Iwobi capitalized on a defensive error to put the host in front five minutes into the game, before summer signing, Antony leveled things up for Erik Ten Hag’s side.

Just one minute before the break, Casemiro made up for the error that led to Iwobi’s goal by providing an assist for Ronaldo, who came on as a substitute for an injured Anthony Martial, to make it two.

Marcus Rashford made it three for the visitors late in the game, but the goal got ruled out for a handball after a VAR review.
