Dele Momodu conferred Honorary Citizenship of Georgia, USA

Veteran Nigerian publisher Ayòbámidélé Àbáyòmí Ojútelégàn Momodu better known as Dele Momodu has been conferred with the honorary citizenship of Georgia, in the United States of America.

Honorary citizenship is a status bestowed by a city or other government on a foreign or native individual whom it considers to be especially admirable or otherwise worthy of the distinction, and Dele Momodu was found worthy of this distinction.

Momodu took to his Instagram page to share a picture of the certificate which described him as an outstanding citizen who is to be afforded every courtesy as a Goodwill Ambassador from Georgia in his travels to other states, to nations beyond the borders of the United States of America, or wherever he may hereafter travel or reside.

He wrote,

“Though I couldn’t personally receive this honor in Atlanta, Georgia, most sincerely appreciate the thoughtfulness and kind gestures behind it”.

The letter signed by Brad reads;

“May this Outstanding Citizen be afforded every courtesy as a Goodwill Ambassador from Georgia in his travels to other states, to nations beyond the borders of the United States of America, or wherever he may hereafter travel or reside. Thank you for your service to our State.

“IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of my office, at the State Capitol, in the City of Atlanta, this 6th day of September, A.D. 2022.”

Congratulations to Dele from all of us at Empire.
