UCL: Galatasaray come from behind to defeat 10-man Man Utd

Manchester United failed to hold on to their lead, twice, in their second UCL game of the season, as Galatasaray made the most of it and snatched a win against the terribly underperforming Red Devils at Old Trafford.

After suffering a narrow defeat to Bayern Munich in their first UCL game, Ten Hag’s men looked set to be in charge, as Rasmus Hojlund, gave them the lead 17 minutes into the game.

But, staying in character with their form so far this season, Man Utd conceded an equalizer about six minutes later, courtesy of United former Man, Wilfried Zaha.

After the break, relentless Hojlund put United back in front in the 67th minute, but the lead didn’t last for up to five minutes as, Kerem Akturkoglu, leveled for the visitors, again.

The game went from bad to worse when Casemiro got dismissed following a second yellow, which birthed a penalty for the visitors, that was missed by Mauro Icardi.

Despite the miss, it was Icardi, who eventually gave the Turkish side the win, less than five minutes after his botched penalty.

Manchester United is experiencing their worst start to a season, as this is the first time in the club’s history that they kicked off the Champions League group stage with successive defeats, add that to their pile of bad results in the Premier League.
