UCL; Arsenal suffers defeat to Lens

French team, Lens came from behind to inflict a 2-1 defeat on Arsenal in their Champions League encounter on Tuesday.

The Gunners had taken the lead through Gabriel Jesus’ 14th-minute opener, but that was all the goal-scoring action the visitors put forth.

Adrien Thomasson levelled for Lens before the break and after the break, Elye Wahi found the bottom left of the net, to hand Mikel Arterta’s high-flying side their first defeat of the season, in all competitions.

The result moved Lens to the top of the group with four points, while Arsenal are second with three points, having won their first game of the campaign.
