United left frustrated in late defeat to Chelsea

Manchester United have themselves to blame for letting a 3-2 lead slip in the death of the game to hand Chelsea a 4-3 victory in a scintillating face-off at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea had gotten off to a good start running on a two hail lead 19 minutes into the game courtesy of Conor Gallagher’s four minutes opener and Cole Palmer’s spot kick in the 19th minute.

Man Utd got back into the game in the 34th minute via Alejandro Garnacho, before skipper, Bruno Fernandes, leveled things five minutes on, keeping thieves heading into the break.

A second goal from Gernacho in the 67th minute seemed just okay to hand United the win as they had maintained the lead into the eighth minute of added time.

However, the game spiraled and became really dramatic when Diogo Dalot fouled Noni Madueke in the eighteen-yard box, gifting Chelsea the second penalty of the game.

Palmer stepped up again and made no mistakes and just a minute later, he snatched the winner, sending Chelsea fans and players berserk.

While Man Utd players had their hands hung low in disappointment and a haunting feeling of what could have been.
