“We arrested Kpokpogri to help him regain his sanity” – Police
The Nigeria Police Force has confirmed the arrest of Delta politician and ex-boyfriend of Tonto Dikeh, Prince Kpokpogri.
Vanguard reported that the Force headquarters in Abuja disclosed that he was arrested and detained in order to help him regain his sanity.
According to reports, his arrest which occurred on Tuesday morning, came after he reportedly bypassed Police authorities, took two police officers to a hotel where Tonto lodged and allegedly threatened to open fire at her if she did not hand over the keys to the vehicle she got for him.
Vanguard reports that Kpokpogiri who is currently facing a pending investigation at Force CID, at a point became violent and was allegedly raining abuses on the Police officers. When the DIG in charge of Force Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Bureau, DIG Joseph Egbunike, was briefed about the conduct of Kpokpogiri, he ordered his arrest, including his police escorts.
Police told newsmen that his arrest is to enable him to regain his sanity after which he would be questioned on the issue about ownership or otherwise on the vehicle in question.
