World Cup qualifier: France ends winless run with victory over Finland

France found their way back to winning ways in their 2022 World Cup qualifier win a 2-0 victory over Finland.

The reigning world champions had to come from behind in their last two qualifiers to draw with Bosnia-Herzegovina and Ukraine.

Antoine Griezmann scored both goals in both halves to help the Les Blues restore dominance in their group.

Griezmann, who is yet to make an appearance for Atletico Madrid, following his transfer deadline return from Barcelona has now scored three goals in his last three international appearances, taking his goal tally to 41, making him yeh nation’s third-highest goal scorer.

France is top of Group D with 12 points from six games and are seven points clear of Ukraine, who are second.
