“Wunmi and her lawyer are after my life” – Mohbad’s father

Joseph Aloba, the father of late singer, Ileriouluwa Oladimeji Aloba better known as Mohbad has made a strong allegation against his son’s wife, Wunmi, and lawyer, Femi Falana.

In a recent interview with MAX FM, Joseph alleged that his life is constantly being threatened by his daughter-in-law and her lawyers.

Expressing distress, Mohbad’s father asserted that he was at a loss regarding where to find safety, as both Wunmi and Femi Falana were allegedly issuing threats of harm against him.

He affirmed that his daughter-in-law threatened to take his life during a phone call made to him through a strange number. He added that he recorded the call for evidence’s sake.

“I want people to support me, the autopsy is going to be done by a private firm. I don’t know where to live now because of threats. Yesterday, when I heard someone knocking at the gate, I thought it was those that Wunmi said would come to kill me. She called me with a strange number and threatened me; I recorded it and Falana is aware of this,” he said in part.

The interview has since generated a wave of reactions from social media users who believed his claims while others accused him of looking for attention.

Meanwhile, during an interview with TVC, Mohbad’s father also revealed why his son is yet to be buried.

He said,

“When Liam was born, I have no idea who his placenta was handed over too, because immediately Liam was birthed, my son called me and I responded, then he said no need again and this has been happening for a long time now. I remember when he bought a land and his mother-in-law was the one in charge of the land, the same thing happened in the case of his placenta, were he told me not to bother, that he has arranged for people who will bury it. It was after his wife made mention of it that I remembered and questioned myself regarding who was with the placenta. [sic]”

Mohbad’s father also revealed that, in their tradition it is the fathers family who is suppose to take care of the placenta but that opportunity was not given to him.

Mohbad’s father has now stated that no matter how long it takes for the DNA result and autopsy result to be out, they would wait till then.
